Appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Airport Authority Hong Kong in October 2014, he was formerly the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). He was elected as the Second Vice-President of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific in April 2016. He serves as a member of the Hong Kong Aviation Development and Three-runway System Advisory Committee; the Hong Kong-Taiwan Business Co-operation Committee; Hong Kong Logistics Development Council and the Sustainable Business Hong Kong Advisory Board. In 2007, Mr Lam was named “Director of the Year” by Hong Kong Institute of Directors. In 2011, he was given the Peace through Commerce Medal from the United States Government in recognition of his leadership role in boosting US exports to, and through, Hong Kong.
