Hong Kong

Dear Delegates,

As the Chair of Airports Council International (ACI) World, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Hong Kong for one of the most anticipated events on the aviation calendar, the 2019 ACI Asia-Pacific/World Annual General Assembly, Conference & Exhibition. This is one of the world’s largest gathering of airport executives and aviation industry stakeholders.

This annual meeting is the key event for the global airport industry as it brings together the world’s aviation leaders to address the current challenges and seize future opportunities for success in our business. Our operational environment is evolving rapidly as we are facing new and emerging issues and forced to take decisive actions in order to ensure a sustainable future for airports and aviation in general.

The Asia Pacific Region is home to some of the world’s most dynamic cities and fastest-growing economies. Hong Kong is truly a sparkplug of the Region with the Airport undertaking one of the most important and ambitious runway projects of our time.

As we have seen, the world’s economies, businesses and supply chains have become increasingly integrated and airports have become even more critical to the success of nations. We seek to continue to provide that economic energy for the sustainable future of the communities and nations we serve.

I want to commend our host Hong Kong International Airport, so ably led by Mr. Fred Lam, for the excellent planning and organizing of this event that takes place in the year of the 40th ICAO Assembly.

I invite you to join with your colleagues from 2-4 April 2019 to participate with the experts and leaders within and outside of our industry at the not-to-be missed event on the 2019 aviation calendar.
